Born in Bassano del Grappa, I started playing guitar at the age of 6 and by the age of 14 was already playing live.I was always fascinated by composition and formed the band ‘Slogan’, my own progressive rock project, recording an LP and 2 CD’s with them.
But one of the most important keys in my life was meeting Mr Paolo Muggia, who took me in the direction of a classical guitar diploma.A study of music from the 900’s together with contemporary artists, had a great influence on my style and personality.During the 10 years at the “Pollini” conservatory in Padova, I played with among others in the guitar trio “Sarangi” and having completed my regular studies, I continued to train and perfect my art at seminars (G.Fierens, M.Gangi).
Through this experience, I entered into the world of jazz-rock and fusion, participating at various seminars with the likes of Mick Goddrick and Joe Diorio.Combining contemporary music with jazz, a new style grew and developed, playing with the group G/emo (we did numerous concerts among which the “Festival of Music” in Paris and two CD’s “magi di un viaggio a Marken” 1992, and “Corriere”1998).
This jazz experience was deepened while playing in the duo ‘ZZ Age with Saverio Tasca, where we used jazz, contemporary music, improvisation and experimentation.
Furthermore, I participated in a classical-jazz acoustic quintet, promoting the music of C.Bolling.
Currently, apart from the work I’m doing with Tasca, I’m working with other Italian jazz musicians such as Ettore Martin, Gianni Bertoncini and Alessandro Fedrigo.
For many years I’ve been working on transcripts in the classical and jazz world in various schools in the
Venice
region.
My last CD in 2000 is all guitar music with some original material and is called “Le Phare”.
