Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Marco Marinangeli has established himself in Los Angeles as a successful composer/producer in the record business and the Film/TV industry. While acquiring a degree in Accounting, he entered the professional music arena at a very early age as the musical director and producer for various European artists. Marinangeli has produced top-selling albums for the Walt Disney Company, garnering a Grammy nomination as well as several Gold Record Awards, in addition to two Quintuple Platinum Records for both Josh Groban’s albums and a Gold Record for his DVD release. He has written and produced tracks for artists as diverse as Josh Groban, Donna Summer, Placido Domingo, Peter Frampton, Miley Cyrus, Keke Palmer, Taylor Dayne, Kathie Lee Gifford, Myra, Olga Tañon, Solas, Chieftains and Larry Carlton, and he has collaborated with producers and composers such as David Foster, Humberto Gatica, Jeremy Lubbock, Bill Ross and Lalo Schifrin. With formal classical music training, Marinangeli has embraced the digital music revolution from its inception. His expertise in digital editing and recording has been praised by the press (MusicBiz’ interview March 99, Keyboard Magazine’s interview, April 2002). The UCLA Music Library is sponsoring him to orchestrate the classical works and to write the biography of famed 20th century composer Hugo Davise.
