Drummer Matt Stefanini was born in 1982 in Locarno, South of Switzerland, near the Italian border.
He started playing the drums at the young age of 7 years old and played in several bands before getting to know, in year 2000, the members of his current three piece band, Zero In On.
Matt and Zero In On just got back from a Southern California Tour and they’re  getting ready to work and a new worldwide release.


ZIO is an alternative rock band coming from the South of Switzerland, near the Italian border. This young trio has played together since year 2000, though the three of them have already been playing in their teens. Firstly ignored and rejected by the unmusical region they grew up in, Elias, Gian and Matt kept on creating and didn’t give up.
 
After some hard work and the release of first album “The Oblivion Fair” in 2004, they finally managed to seduce the rest of Switzerland as well as other European countries such as France, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Portugal. Among ZIO’s live dates, Paleo Festival Nyon, the most important Swiss Open Air Festival.
 
The release of new album “Pillow Talk” in November 2006 led them back on air, with the single “City” in heavy rotation on several radio channels. With doors open in the USA as well, ZIO is now ready to cross the ocean for a series of live gigs and showcases in L.A. starting in April 2007. Thousands of fans have been recently conquered all over the world thanks to Myspace portal. The band is already working on new tracks for their upcoming follow up CD, that will be recorded between Europe and USA and release worldwide in early 2008.
