Michael has been a professional musician, singer and songwriter for over 24 years. He began his professional music career at the age of nineteen touring and performing throughout the US with the musical group Young American Showcase. In the early 1980s he toured and played guitar for Grammy and Dove award winning Christian rock band Mylon Lefevre and Broken Heart. In the early 1990s he played lead guitar and sang with German heavy metal act Doro during the MTV Europe's "Monsters of Rock Tour".

From 1991 until 2001 Michael was a youth pastor and worship leader and in late 2001 he began touring, speaking and playing to expanded audiences at various church youth and worship conferences thoroughout the US such as The Call. Most recently he has become involved with various recording projects and has released his own worship CD entitled "The Burning Man". He is currently traveling with worship artist Jason Upton and is assisting with the live production of Jason's next CD.
